Grant is a financial advisor in Savant’s Rockford, IL headquarters. He has a membership interest in Savant.

Grant focuses on helping those close to and in retirement develop tax-efficient cash flow and investment strategies. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), and Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®), Grant is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding.

Grant has been involved in the financial services industry since 2006. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he worked in Savant’s financial planning department where he produced investment analyses, prepared client financial plans, and coordinated plan implementation. He also specialized in retirement projections.

Grant is an adjunct professor, teaching undergraduate financial planning and estate planning courses at Franklin University. In 2016 Grant was selected as one of the top 40 financial advisors under age 40 in the United States by InvestmentNews. He previously served on the Midwest board of directors for the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the largest network of fee-only financial planners. Locally, he is a graduate of the Leadership Rockford program.

Grant is routinely interviewed by local television stations and has been quoted in national publications including the Wall Street Journal, InvestmentNews, U.S. News & World Report, Bloomberg Businessweek, USA Today, and Consumer Reports. He is a frequent featured guest on the Sirius XM Satellite Radio show, “Your Money,” hosted by the Wharton School of Business.

Grant is a cum laude graduate of Marquette University with a bachelor of science degree in finance and economics with a minor in psychology. He earned a master of business administration (MBA) degree from Marquette University and a master of science (MS) degree in personal financial planning and a Master Planner Advanced StudiesSM (MPAS®) designation, both from the College for Financial Planning.

Grant and his wife Erin have two sons, Landon and Hudson. He enjoys traveling, playing golf, coaching his sons’ sports teams, and spending time with his family.

The honorees were chosen among 800 nominees. Individuals were nominated by their firm. Savant did not pay a fee to be included in this ranking. Savant did purchase plaques after award was received.
