Scott is a financial advisor in Savant’s Rockford, IL headquarters. He has a membership interest in Savant.
In addition to his service with individuals, Scott advises not-for-profit organizations and consults on the plan design and ongoing administration of retirement plan clients.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Scott is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding.
Scott has been involved in the financial services industry since 1991. Prior to joining Savant, he spent 17 years with two local trust and investment management groups where he served as vice president specializing in high-net-worth individuals and corporate retirement plans. He has experience in asset management, personal trust, corporate retirement plans, banking, and other aspects of the wealth management planning process.
As part of giving back to his community, Scott is a mayor-appointed and city council-approved trustee for the City of Rockford Police Pension Board. He is routinely interviewed by local television stations and other media outlets.
Scott earned a bachelor of science degree from Bradley University and a JD from Valparaiso University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois. He has completed the Certified Pension Trustee Program sponsored by the Illinois Public Pension Fund Association and the Certified Retirement Plan Specialist program sponsored by the Cannon Financial Institute.
Scott is proud of earning the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 14. He is married to Linda and in their free time they enjoy spending time with family, boating on Lake Geneva, and exploring the Wisconsin Northwoods in all seasons.
