Savant Wealth Management Acquires $1.53 Billion Domani Wealth; Continues Mid-Atlantic Expansion
— Fourth Transaction of 2023 Brings Savant’s AUM to $19.5 Billion —
Savant Wealth Management has acquired Domani Wealth, an RIA firm focused on financial planning working with those approaching and in retirement. In business for more than 25 years, Domani is based in Lancaster, Pa. and has four offices throughout Central Pennsylvania. Its 23 employees and $1.53 billion in assets under management (as of 4/28/2023) joined Savant May 9. Savant did not release the terms of the deal.
Domani Wealth marks the fourth acquisition of 2023 for Savant, and its second partnership in Pennsylvania. With this acquisition, Savant’s footprint expands to 32 offices in 11 states, including five in Pennsylvania.
“Domani Wealth is well-known in Central Pennsylvania, with deep roots in its communities and a reputation for technical expertise and a team approach,” said Brent R. Brodeski, CPA, CFP®, CFA®, MBA, founder and CEO of Savant. “Domani’s culture directly aligns with Savant’s focus on excellence, integrity, lifelong learning and respect. As we continue to expand our footprint in the Mid-Atlantic region, we found this partnership to be a natural fit.”
“Our purpose to create opportunity for a better tomorrow directly complements Savant’s vision to build ideal futures for their clients, team and communities,” said Thomas K. Williams, CFP®, CPA, Domani’s CEO and one of its founders. “We sought out a firm like-minded to ourselves, with similar emphasis on financial planning and a well-rounded team, as well as the independence and fee-only, fiduciary focus to which Domani has always adhered. This transition brings a larger breadth of services to our clients and creates more career opportunities for our team.”
Domani Wealth’s eight partners will become equity owners in Savant at closing. These include Angela R. Berkosky, CFA; Michael J. Dinan, CFP®; Kenneth L. Eshleman, CFP®; Jennifer L. Hill, CFP®, CPA/PFS; Scott D. Michael, CFP®, AIF®; Angie M. Stephenson, CFP®, CPA/PFS; Christopher M. Stock, MBA, AIF®; and Thomas K. Williams, CFP®, CPA. In addition, Matthew M. Gavel, CFA, senior portfolio manager, will become an equity owner as part of the transaction.
The purchase is part of an intentional strategy by Savant to follow an accelerated pace of acquisitions over the next few years.
“We believe our firm’s ideal future lies at the intersection of growth and excellence, and we are eagerly making strides to achieve our goals in both areas,” Brodeski said.
